1. Profile of Yongkang City
Yongkang city lies in the middle of Zhejiang Province. In 2006, the city achieved RMB 15.36
billion (USD1.86 billion) in GDP and ranked 46th among the national top 100 prosperous
counties (cities) in terms of overall economic development index. The hardware industry is a
pillar industry of Yongkang. There are nearly 10,000 machinery enterprises in Yongkang with
seven product lines including tool hardware, daily hardware and construction hardware, etc.,
covering over 20,000 types of products, of which 1,200 types are currently exported. Yongkang
is now known as the biggest “hardware production base” in China.
Last year, more than 260,000 business people attended the 10th China Hardware Fair,

including foreign businessmen and agents from over 30 countries and regions, such as the
United States, Japan, Korea, Australia and Spain etc. Besides, more than 1,200 domestic
companies took part in the fair. Transaction volume totaled RMB5.13 billion (USD 619.6
million), with an export volume of USD330.6 million. More than 535 projects of technology
cooperation have been discussed. The Fair has become the largest of its kind in China and the
third largest in the world. All lines of preparation of the 12th China Hardware Fair are well going
on and the total number of exhibition companies is expected to reach 3,000 this year.
2. The International Purchasing Fair
To make the 12th China Hardware Fair a business platform for both suppliers and purchasers,
the Organizing Committee will set up an international purchasing section at the Fair, where
free booths will be provided to purchasers for direct business talks with suppliers.
1) Product Lines
² Tool hardware: measurer, cutlery, manual, gardening, water and heating jack up, hydraulic
pressure tools, etc.
² Electro-tool products: electric, steam-driven tools, grinding machines and cutting tools, etc.
² Vehicle: fittings of motorcycle, electro mobile, scooter, dune buggy, bicycle and auto parts
fitting for automobiles;
² Daily use hardware and hardware electrical apparatus, others: stainless steel products,
galley tackle and sanitation, hardware handicraft, hotel vessel, fitness equipment, tourist
novelty travel products, and other hardware;
² Door: antitheft door, the door of the garage, indoor;
² Decorating hardware and building hardware: the dl-alloy door & window, lock set, tube
feed, etc;
² Electromechanical products: compressor, arc welding generator, electromotor, pump,
cleaning machine;

² Mechanical & Equipment: lathe, planer, punch, press, machine, die casting machine,
spraying equipment.
2) Buyers to be invited
Delegates of mega-stores, chain retailers, traders and investors from the Occident, and the
Southeast Asia countries, and export enterprises in China.
