Ⅰ. Introduction
The Wood China (China International Wood Suppliers & Consumers Trading Conference) is a world-class purchasing/supplying conference organized to facilitate global timber purchasing for Chinese manufacurers and exporting wood products to Europe, America, Southeast Asian, Japan, and South Korea, etc. The expo is dedicated to providing “one stop shopping” for global purchasers, creating a win-win situation for both suppliers and purchasers, and helping domestic enterprises to open the door to international markets by building their brand awareness.
The Wood China is sponsored by the China Timber Distribution Association (CTDA) and China Chamber of Commerce for I/E of Foostuffs, Native Produce and Animal By-products, and the year of 2007 will mark its fourth incarnation since its founding in 2005. The prominence of the its high sales volume and internationalization has been noticed and praised by the industry. According to statistic data gathered by the organizers, the previous two conferences have together attracted hundreds of overseas enterprises and international wood suppliers & purchasers from the countries and regions of America, Canada, France, England, German, Finland, Holland, Russia, Papua New Guinea, Gabon, Vietnam, Thailand, Singapore, Hong Kong and Taiwan, with sales volume exceeding several billion RMB.
The Wood China organizers will seek to ensure low costs and high efficiency for the participants, including providing a catalogue of VIP purchasers lists and arranging purchaser and supplier meetings for negotiations during the conference. At present, several large-scale timber wholesalers, import/export firms and woodwork producers around the world have been invited to attend the conference, including Setra, APP Sinar Mas Group, etc..
