China and South Asian countries have been friendly neighbors and cooperated closely on many international and regional affairs for decades, with the dimension of economic and trade cooperation expanding and bilateral trade volume growing rapidly. However, trade imbalance in favour of China is getting bigger, to which the Chinese side attaches great importance. In order to enlarge import from South Asian countries, the Ministry of Commerce of the People Republic of China (MOFCOM) plans to hold the South Asian Countries Commodity Fair at China International Exhibition Center in Beijing during December 28th-30th 2007.
