Introduction to "China Yangling Agricultural Hi-tech Fair (China Agricultural Fair)"

China Yangling Agricultural Hi-tech Fair (China Agricultural Fair, or CAF) is sponsored by more than 16 ministries of China such as Ministry of Science and Technology, Ministry of Commerce, Ministry of Agriculture, etc, as well as Shaanxi Provincial Government. It is regularly held in Nov 5-9 every year in Yangling Agricultural Hi-tech Industries Demonstration Zone, Shanxi Province, China. As one of the most authoritative and comprehensive fair in the field of hi-tech agriculture in China, it is regarded as“China Agricultural Olympic Fair”. After decades of development, Yangling Agricultural Fair enjoys a reputation as one of the four most famous high tech fairs in China: namely Yangling Agricultural Fair, Beijing Scientific-tech Exhibition Fair, Shenzhen High-tech Trade Fair and Shanghai Industrial Exhibition Fair.

Improvement have been made in recent years as to the level and scale of the fair, which provides a perennial and international exchange platform for high-tech agricultural technology and products. Figures showed that in the past sessions participants were not only from all over China, but also from over 22 countries and regions like America, Canada, France, Japan, etc. Participants to the fair totaled around 1.47 million, including farmers,agricultural companies, research and education institutions. The latest four sessions attracted more than 1 million participants. The total amount of project investment, trade of technology and products exceeded 20.3 billion RMB in the area of farming, forestry, water project and agricultural machine. Serving as a platform, CAF makes it possible for large quantities of agricultural hi-tech achievements to be transferred and practical techniques popularized. The information about science and technology, human resources, goods and materials is therefore efficiently spread across the country. Here in Yangling, technical, financial and intellectual resources are well integrated to bring business opportunities.
