China Beijing International High-tech Expo(CHITEC), approved by Chinese Government, is a large-scale international high-tech & trade Expo held annually in Beijing.

The CHITEC is jointly hosted by several Ministries and the People's Government of Beijing Municipality. The organizer is China Council for the Promotion of International Trade Beijing Sub-council (CCPIT Beijing).

China Beijing International High-tech Industries Week was initiated in 1998 and renamed officially as China Beijing International High-tech Expo at its fifth session in 2002, and further in 2003, the Expo was given a new brief name in English--CHITEC.

CHITEC covered a series of activities focusing on five areas, namely: exhibitions, forums, trade talks on commercial & technical projects, technical exchanges and so on. The 5th CHITEC in 2002 , the 6th CHITEC in 2003 and the 7th CHITEC in 2004 have turned out great successes.
