In 2004, the 18th China Dalian Import & Export Commodities Fair(DIECF) has attracted 64 special purchasing delegations from over 32 countries and regions including U.S.A,U.K,France,Italy, Japan, South Korea, Turkey,Rumania, Japan,Hongkong,etc. and contracts totaled US$900 million.

To implement the strategy of revitalizing the old industrial base in northeast China and construct the important international shipping center in northeastern Asia, the 19th DIECF will integrate the resources of Dalian’s special exhibitions including shipbuilding, shipping, port, logistics, machine tools, die, information technology and telecommunication, software, petroleum and chemical industry, special steel, rubber & plastic industry, packaging, refrigerating, etc., to create an international business and cooperation platform based on the construction of four insustry bases including shipbuilding, petrochemical, advanced equipment manufacturing, IT. The scale of the 19th DIECF will exceed 40,000 sq. meters of exhibits wqualing to more than 1650 standard booths.

Meanwhile, jointly sponsored by Boao Forum For Asia, The State Council’s Office for Revitalizing Northeast China, Ministry of Communications of the People’s Republic of China, China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, China Communications and Transportation Association and China Ports and Harbours Association, China Dalian International Shipping, Port, Logistics & Shipbuilding Exhibition 2005 will be the new highlighting.
