The 9th China International Fair for Investment and Trade (CIFIT), sponsored by the Ministry of Commerce of China and co-sponsored by the UN Conference on Trade & Development (UNCTAD), UN Industry Development Organization (UNIDO), International Finance Corporation of World Bank (IFC) and World Association of Investment Promotion Agencies (WAIPA), is to be held on Sep. 8--11, 2005 in Xiamen, Fujian province. CIFIT is currently the sole national investment promotion event with the characteristics of information releasing, seminar, investment climate and achievements displaying, as well as trade talks.
The 8th China International Fair for Investment and Trade in 2004 attracted more than 11800 participants from 118 countries and regions, more than 300 foreign organs from 64 countries and regions including 8 international organizational delegations, 79 governmental delegations and 106 multinational corporations and renowned enterprises. It also held more than 2900 business match-makings, the International Investment Forum and more than 60 special topics seminars, covering the hot points for investors such as international acquisition, service industry foreign contracting, foreign financing, intelligence property protection, expanding the scope of service industry, etc.. All the seminars and exchanges have worked as the vital platforms for participants to acquire information concerning international direct investment, the attraction of foreign investment by China, the investment by Chinese enterprises to foreign countries and so on. At the same time, the enterprises took this opportunity to have fully exchanged with each other, discussed the cooperative projects and shared the investment experiences. It is also a good chance for the governmental officials and entrepreneurs from different nations to meet and communicate with their Chinese counterparts.
Focusing on promoting the international investment and incorporating the trend of international capital flow, the 9th China International Fair for Investment and Trade will lay emphasis on the high-tech manufacturing industry and the service industry.
