ExpatsInChina knows the importance of Chinese in the business world. According to Guiness World Records 2006, Chinese, with 915 million speakers in the Mandarin dialect alone, is the most commonly spoken language in the world, outnumbering English speakers by 561 million. This is mainly because China is the most populous nation in the world. That's a hefty chunk.

And though, maybe to a lot of outsiders, China doesn't seem like a very big deal right now--they're only thinking present tense. What about the future? China is a country with an economy of $8.859 trillion USD GDP (Purchasing Power Parity) that is growing at 10% annually! So why not learn Chinese? And what better place to learn Chinese than in China itself?

The standardized form of spoken Chinese is based on the Beijing dialect, a member of the Mandarin group. Standard Mandarin is the official language of the people's Republic of
China and the Republic of China in Taiwan.

Chinese is spoken in all these countries: People's of
China (Mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau), Republic of China (Taiwan and nearby islands) Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, Burma and Cambodia, also parts of Japan, North Korea, South of Korea, Philippines & other Chinese communities around the world.

If you're going to bring your children to China with you, you certainly want to consider international schools. There are many things to consider though. One huge advantage is that many students of international schools end up bi-lingual if not multi-lingual, a skill that will take them far in life. Search the site above to explore the different international schools that are here to cater to your childrens' needs.

China is a country with a unique history and culture. Thus, there are a number of schools, which focus on specific areas of its culture.

If you're not an expat in China, you should be! Maybe you are thinking--if you are not an expat that is--that China is too far away or that you don't know what you will do after you get to China and how you will pay for everything. Well to all of this, ExpatsInChina says: "Excuses, excuses, excuses!" Why? Your basic excuse is just money. What if you had a job already waiting for you over here? You'd have no more excuses. It's a marvelous country and--excuse the triteness of this remark--a wonderful opportunity. Come to China and teach English! This way, you don't have to worry so much about expenses and really have absolutely no excuse!
