According to provisional statistics of Customs, China's total import and export in the first 6 months of 2006 amounted to US$795.74 billion, up by 23.4% on a year-on-year basis. Of which export was US$428.59 billion and import US$367.15billion, up by 25.2% and 21.3% respectively. Trade surplus hit US$61.45 billion, up by 54.9%.In June, total import and export in the nation reached US$148.12 billion, up by 21.3%. Of which export was US$81.31 billion and import US$66.81 billion, up by 23.3% and 18.9% respectively. And trade surplus was US$14.5 billion, up by49%.
