CHINA鈥橲 foreign trade office is out to woo Papua New Guinea鈥檚 government and business community over to its鈥 95th Chinese Export Commodities Fair and hopefully, boost greater trade relations.

Moresby, a delegation of five senior officials from the China Foreign Trade Centre and the Commerce Ministry wasted no time in officially welcoming the government and the business community to the fair, popularly known as the 鈥淐anton Fair鈥 to be held from April 15 to 30.
Leader of the delegation, Chen Barong, who is the Vice Director of China Foreign Trade Centre, said PNG is one of China鈥檚 most important trade partners in the island nation states of the South Pacific.
鈥淥ur visit therefore, is to establish good relations and wider trade circles with this country,鈥 Mr Barong said.
He said many popular Chinese products have already been in PNG for the last five years through the many established Chinese companies in the country.
Another delegate Fang Hao, an official of the Commerce Ministry of China described the 鈥楥anton Fair鈥 as the window of China鈥檚 opening up policy and the 鈥渂ridge鈥 between its鈥 trade partners and friends worldwide.
The fair, will exhibit five categories of products in 35 sections.
The categories are industrial products, textiles, garments, foodstuff, medicine, gifts and consumer goods.
